Any info on the rockford il lowes account
-
Not sure but I'm picking up Lowe's Janesville wi with 3 store stop in Indiana. Not happy
-
Are you on the Janesville account or just picking up a load
i know the lowes in rockford is only drop and book with back loads was trying to decide if that or intermodal out of Chicago would be better -
Never did Lowes store runs but did the home depot ones, they were usually pretty quick to unload and were nice people to talk with while they unloaded your trailer, I always hung out on the dock instead of just sitting in the truck, made it a little more interesting.Fsesto75 Thanks this.

I've delivered to a couple of Lowes stores in Texas that were all drop and hook.

Were I given a choice between Chicago Intermodal and the Rockford Lowes I would chose the Lowes every time. All of this is based on hearsay, so take it for what it's worth. The few Lowes drivers I've met are generally happy, but rather pissy about a few specific things.
The Intermodal guys always seem to be tired and cranky. Sort of like moosc when's he woken up early from his nap and isn't given his prune juice
Lowes is mainly D/H at the store and then live load for the backhaul, Intermodal you have to deal with the rail yards and the chassis - just ask Chickenwing about them. All other things being equal the Lowes seems like a lot less work and aggravation.91B20H8 Thanks this. -
Would suspect more consistent weekly miles too.

No belly aching about Lowes. I miss delivering to their stores. Their policy is the earlier the better. Music to my ears.
