bad day to drive a truck I75 NB in Mi. At the 5 cargo fire or something. Completely shut down 3 lanes. Tractor unhooked and the back half burned to a crisp. Figure the load was gallon cans so its possible something sparked but then again the Tandems were all but gone so it could have been a locked brake. I hit the backup at about 745 or so. Ended up a 1/2 hour late when I gave myself a 45 min cushion on the front end. Tried to get the break in before the quickish hand unload. I love it when a plan completely falls apart.

THEN on the way back, bam!!!!!! Three lanes SB grind to a halt. three truck deal at the 11 NB closed all three NB lanes again., THOSE folks got screwed royal. One tractor is toast , another on its side and a third was crunched. Hope the driver of the burned tractor got out ok. Same with the overturned guy. When I hit the bottom of the backup it was back to the 2. Pulling them off at the 11 to a single lane headed toward the Dixie highway. I swear, with as much practice DOT or other LE get , you'd think they would be more adept at traffic control with signage WELL before like you see some places. especially when its going to be shut down for HOURS on end.

 

sorry, I only had a little dusting broom I use in the cab. As you can see it WAS NOT the right tool for the job. Thanks for getting that.

 

ok. One of our account crew had a run to the account office yesterday, back today. Got a little gift bag with snacks , SNI Family stickers and a shirt. One of the twill work shirts. Good quality looks like, but I just noticed it has the old logo. Maybe thats why we got them free? hehehe.
