Granted, I am still new to Schneider only being here 3 months, but is it really true that we don't get short haul pay on relays? I have had 4 short haul relays in the last 2 weeks that I have not gotten short haul pay on. I had 1 last weekend that was 1.8 miles to the shipper then back to the OC that took 3 hours. It was a live load. Am I really only going to get paid less than 1 dollar for my time? That is insane.

@ethos or anyone else that is well-versed in SNI bulk pay:
Can someone give me a breakdown on SNI bulk pay for rookies? I know about the 80/day training and .37/mi to start, but there was a bunch of other stuff that the recruiter went thru that I couldn't get down on paper fast enough. She said something about accessorial, additional pay for runs of less than 200mi, another scale for runs of less than 400mi, detention which is 10/hr, and 25/hand load. I missed the rest and I'm trying to figure out what I didn't write down.
Also, I'm scheduled to train out of HOU. She said something about leaving my vehicle at the hotel when we went out on the road with the trainer for the ten day session. This is definitely a no-go for me, as I will be driving a small motorhome. If I'm going to be away from it for ten days, I want her in a locked and secure yard. Doesn't SNI have employee parking at their yard?Last edited: May 28, 2014

This was my day after I posted that inquiry. I had a sit down in my home OC. I talked to someone above my DBL and was told that I do not get short haul pay for those relays. I, also, had 2 expenses from April that I am still trying to get the money for, that I was told to resend again. He pulled out my scorecard, 104%, so he couldn't say anything about that. I run over 3000 miles a week. In the end, for all my complaints, I was told that there were DBL's in the office that did not like talking to me on the phone, I took to much of my DBl's time asking questions, and that because I was idling to much, I was going to get an older piece of #### truck (of course not in those words, but I saw the truck he tried to put me in). Luckily, I was under a load, and the other truck wasn't ready, so I escaped with my truck. I thought that the point of the auto cutoff was that you could only idle when the temp is above 80. I do not idle when I am not in the truck. I turn it off even when I couple and un-couple. How the #### am I doing anything wrong? I am really regretting coming to Schneider. I only came here for my wife to get her time in so we can buy and truck and run Choice teams. I should have got us on somewhere else for her experience. You company guys that have been here a while, I don't know how you do it.

and as far as being told they don't pay shorthaul for relays, that's they're policy, not schneiders. They are making the call that you don't get shorthaul at the terminal level.
i assume you run out of Atlanta? I've heard bad things about Atlanta operations and personally I wouldn't run for that terminal from what I've heard from drivers -
That was the score for my bonus scorecard. I do not think that idling/mpg have been added to it, yet. My point is that my truck will only idle if the ambient is 80 or higher. If it's 80 degrees outside, and I am in the truck, then I am most likely going to be idling the truck. I was told by the recruiter that this wasn't an issue, and they expected you to be idling if you were in the truck at that temp. Now I am getting punished for it? I just don't get this company.
