Any idling you do counts towards the idle time. My understanding from what I was told by my recruiter was basically that you can idle the truck when the truck will idle if you are uncomfortable. That is why they put the ambient temperature gauges on them. It won't idle unless it's hot.

Idling when it is below 10 degrees is not counted against you. You still have to give the amount of time idling to your DBL and they take it out.

I have been told by the operations manager that they only back out idling in cold weather. They will not back it out in warm weather.

    stevep1977 Thanks this.

While I was inside the training center and they were installing the sensors, they also said that idle was no longer a metric towards earning the bonus. It may still show on the scorecard, but unless they changed the metrics again it does not count.

Idling counts against your scorecard when it comes to any potential annual raises, but at this point it doesn't count against your bonus.

thats dependent on line of business/board you are on. On my dedicated account its a part of both metrics for bonus and for performance raises. same for the previous account I was on.
