Well, my last day with solo van will be the 25th. My wife is going through ADTC, and we will be hopping in our new truck the 27th for the team division. Thank God. I will be counting the days that they let my wife become an IC. Countdown to not being a company driver begins.

My wife and I had a thought the other day - do you think trucking companies (all of them, not any specific ones) treat company drivers the way they do with the hopes that the driver will throw his hands up and sign a lease so he can do his own thing? I feel like the company would probably get way more money out of a leased driver because of all those truck payments. Of course, I could be way off. Just a thought :)

There are a lot of companies out there that treat their drivers bad and do not even have a lease program, so I would say it's more just the trucking industry in general. Truck Drivers = not real humans

Trucking companies preach a driver shortage....... Truth is they are talking about a CHEAP driver shortage.....They want new drivers who make .25 cent a mile.

made it up for me with a good run tomorrow after 3 in row for ATD to GM in F Wayne today with one to Barbourville Ky. about 560 miles paid. Turnable and they take you when you get there. Nice drive.

You see that message by Dedicated Div asking for our help in grabbing some of New Century's customers since they shut their doors? Asking us to call if we see trailers at customers and provide as much info as we can Location, Phone #, Name etc....Direct call too. Found that interesting. Wonder if there is a finders fee for successful business.

Didn't see the message, but I got back early today about 2 so it was probably sent after that. There are a few NC trailers sitting in the yard next to ours, noticed them today. I will keep my eye out at customers.

I have ATD in indy tomorrow, 1300.
