I'm cunfused how does sni do vacations for company drivers. How many days? How do they figure pay or is there a set amount they give out?

Found this on SNIs website. It doesn't say how it is calculated though, and that is an interesting question. I wonder if they look at your average weekly income over a period, maybe a year or something, and pay it out based on that?

    A. Vacation pay is based on years of service. One week of paid vacation is earned after one year of employment:
1 year of service = 1 week paid vacation
2 years of service = 2 weeks paid vacation
7 years of service = 3 weeks paid vacation
15 years of service = 4 weeks paid vacation

I'm positive, although not 100% sure, that vacation is paid out at $100/day. Vacation is based on a 5 day work week, so 1 week vacation=5 days, 2 weeks vacation =10 days etc.

So basically you get $500/week vacation pay.

At first I thought that vacation pay was based on average gross pay/day. However, I average more than $100/day yet it's still $100/day paid out for vacation. When I was below $100/day gross pay (when I was on the per diem pay plan) it was also paid out $500/week.

If you have been here less than a year it is a set amount.

If you have been with SNI more than a year(calender) they take your average daily salary over the last calender year.

I don't take "weeks" of vacation. Just taking a week off then working for 51 weeks straight does nothing for me LOL. I take off days.

This week I am taking vacation on Friday and vacation on Monday next week. In a couple weeks I am taking Thursday, Friday and Monday. It works for me because I don't work weekends. I haven't had a real vacation in years LOL.

why is it that other company drivers feel the need to confront you if you get a load from the same place they are at yet they've been there for hours and you are in, loaded, and out in less than 1?
