Yeah Wal Mart has always done that..Can't be tying up their trailers with something like pallets.

 

It was stupid, and I know that I shouldn't have let it bother me. I wish I could be like the majority of the Drivers I see everyday and just be ,"ME ME ME" But I cant. I still hold doors open for people and Ill still throw my coveralls on and grab my tool box if someone needs help. Just too old fashioned I guess (and grouchy lol)

 

Yeah I'm the same way, but I tend to become very unsympathetic to aggressive behavior[passive or no] and especially the eye rolls and the bs I was at the shop yadda yadda yadda, that trailer is mine. I group those with the truck stop bums that have the same story about my car is out of gas can you spare a few bucks. Maybe just a little harsh, but oh well. With all that said lol..I will say about 10 years ago there where 2 SNI guys around Detroit or Toledo[can't remember which] that got into it over an MT and one guy pulled a knife on the other.. Needless to say, he went to jail and lost his job. Crazy to what extremes people will do.

 

If you think the truckstop bums are bad you haven't been to downtown chicago. You should hear the stories the pan handlers give you there.

There was one guy though that hung out by the train station all the time. Normally they give you the I'm stranded and need money for the train story. This guy goes "I ain't gonna lie to you man, I'm going to buy a bottle of booze with the money" while hanging out in front of a liquor store. I proceeded to give him 3 or 4 bucks for honesty and the fact that I found his response amusing.

 

Now I can work with that lol..Just tell me you need to buy booze

 

We pull a boat load of scrap loads..so i dont see walmart using those as storage lol...Thats freight!! Lol

Sometimes, little things amuse me

 

Same thing happened to me at a Flying J. I asked if he wanted breakfast too and he thanked me, but had already eaten. Sure thing, as I ate my breakfast I saw him sitting on the curb with a few cold ones.

Any truth to the rumor that idle % is being added to the bonus calculation for VTL for the 3rd quarter? If so that was pretty good timing on their part.
