I had talked to a company driver the other day, and he told me he was getting $200 to stay out for the holidays. It depends on the operating center your running out of. He was out of GB.

I am confused. José in recruiting said that trucks to be leased on need to be no more than 10 years old. The SNI website says that there is no age limit. I am buying a truck when this lease is up, I just want an older model.

Anyone driving a new Frightliner Cascadia Evolution or Kenworth T680? What are your likes and dislikes about them? Prefer one to the other? Dependability issues? Average fuel mileage?

Any info is much appreciated. I'm trying to figure which one I should go with when I move over to choice. Currently leaning toward the T680 due to being set up better for an owner operator. Although I do like Freightliners service/shop/parts availability and I'm familiar with the company spec Cascadias.

I have a 2015 Cascadia Evo. Being bulk, I am 77k+ lbs everywhere I go. I agree about 68mph and get about 7.2 mpg. Only dislike is that it really is gutless in the mountains when loaded.

All in all with 23k miles on it the only problems are a recall on the On Guard system (piece of junk! ) and I have developed a small power steering leak in the last couple of days.

    Thanks for the info.
I havnt seen under the hood of an evo but if the power steering reservoir is the same as the earlier Cascadias it might be leaking from the hose on the bottom of the tank, the clamps are notorious for coming loose for some reason.

I actually came back 5 days of home time yesterday and had to tighten mine after discovering a pool of power steering fluid on the dirt.

I am going to have to check it out this evening after I shut down. I topped it off this morning during the pre trip, so we'll see.

I am not going to keep this truck though. At the end of the lease I will turn it in. It is a great truck, but I don't like the big payment. On a good side however, I am able to save a decent amount of money to buy a truck next spring.

I would ask someone else in the O/O program. Or through the ask a general manager feature via crossroads.
