So I'm talking to the cook at the Carlisle OC, and I asked him about a conversation I had with a driver based out of here (we were stuck at some crappy shipper that took forever to load us).

So first off, have to say I had a kick ### steak for dinner here for only 12.50. Anyways, a couple months ago this cook was preparing food and decided that he was going to use a little red wine to marinate the food. Of course, when you cook the red wine the alcohol pretty much evaporates completely.

So one of the drivers complements the cook on how good the meal tasted, and asked what was in it. The cook proceeded to tell him that certain spices were used, along with a bit of red wine.

The driver proceeded to flip out and basically ratted the guy out to the entire OC that he's putting alcohol in the food. The owner of the restaurant didn't know this and was close to firing the guy for this. The guy is totally cool and was just trying to make good tasting food for us. Granted, it probably wasn't the best idea to use red wine marinate considering how tightly wound up (and moronic) some of these drivers are. But the guy didn't think it was an issue because there is only the smallest possible amount of alcohol in the food, if any at all.

Seriously, some of these drivers are just unbelievable. It's the same type of driver that lectures you at the shipper for taking THEIR empty trailer.

$12.50? Was that a special or regular menu?

West memphis cafeteria sucks IMO. Salads always old and limited choices.
Sounds like I need to run OTR to get better Schneider food.

Actually this guy stayed open until 9 or 10 last night. It was busy so he kept making orders. I did have breakfast at Indy a few weeks ago and it was a lot better than funky monkeys but not the greatest ever.
