Had to redo my paper logs from June 20th- 23rd to match the electronic logs. Still off by 23 minutes and they won't accept them. I have to redo them for the 4th time, this time I'll add an hour of extra drive time just to be sure. Regulatory is forcing me to falsify my logs just so I can get rid of 5 ######## hos violations I got while my screen was broken and I was stuck in drive and on duty for 4 days. #### regulatory, if I can't go owner op then I'm leaving to go haul oversize again.

If that ever happens again, just unplug the unit and inform your dbl.

That is actually a great idea! Definitely wish I would have done that after finding out what a pain in the ### regulatory is.

I dont recall the requirement that only SNI printed logs are kosher. As long as all info is properly filled out DOT doesnt care. Fact is you were diligent in getting paper done. And legal by DOT regs.

Screw that, you show me in the Sni policy and rulebook where it states only Sni approved log sheets are accepted. Time for you to flex and watch them flinch, let them know your contacting the safety dept. because they want you to falsify logs you have already signed and submitted. Bet a foodstamp they change their tune. Make sure it's all documented on QC messages with pics to back it up.

Hate to maybe jump in where my opinion isn't needed / wanted.......however, it would be very, very easy to be off 23 minutes between a paper log and electronic log over 4 days as E-Logs go by 5 minute increments and paper by 7 and 8. Jus' sayin'......might want to school the regulatory folks on that

Elogs are minute and paper logs are 5 minutes.

wrong again Moose.......paper logs are by the quarter hour......7 minutes one side is one quarter, 8 minutes on the other side is a different quarter. Which is how you can gain / lose 23 minutes in 4 days pretty easily. God lord, man.....I thought you were old school??!!
