For some reason that scale always pulls me in and has me in the office. Maybe just my luck. It used to not have prepass though and I think I've pretty much been green lighted since

Well, I always get pulled into that scale, so I just avoid it now. When I pick up in Akron at the paper plant, I take 77 north to 18 west to 71 south so I don't have to worry about that scale. It is always loaded different so I have no clue if it is legal or not.

Got a message last week that they will be cracking down on I80 tolls in OH & IN. They said you will be charged back the toll cost. I've run arcross there servial times and not been charged back. 'Gess that'll change. I wounder what the cost really is, I'd pay the toll if it's reasionable, better than running on country roads & small towns at 25mph.

It's not worth paying that much out of pocket just to save some time. You won't make up the $50 by taking the toll road. The backroads aren't bad at all. The only exception is US 20 in Ohio once you get east of Toledo. Then it's a real pain in the ###. Other than that, OH 2 is a good ride, US30 is a highway, US 224 is actually a good road to take. The only road I can't stand is that #### US 20 though lol. 25 mph zones, towns, stop lights up the arse. It's ok west of Toledo, but US 20 can be a pain in the ### in Indiana once you get east of Elkhart.

Also, I haven't run it lately, but US24 from Ft Wayne all the way to Toledo is now a 4 lane highway the entire way now. I believe the last time I drove by US 24 near Ft Wayne they finally opened it up all the way from 469 to Toledo.

Im from a town along US20 between West of Toledo and East of Elkhart lol I know what you mean you get to open up and run 55 for maybe 10 miles then its back down to 30 mph, i dont think you can go more than 10-15 miles without coming through a town. Im from Angola, the town with the stupid roundabout with the monument where 20 runs through.

Finally finished CDL school. Got my cdl, doubles/triples and tanker. Got my twic. Sent my fingerprints in last Thursday, waiting on hazmat to come back...this waiting blows. Did my phone interview with Schneider and said that was all they could do until my hazmat came back but as soon as I got the letter in the mail to call them and let them know so I can be scheduled for the drug test. Im looking at Bulk out of Houston. Right now looks like its between Schneider Bulk and one other tanker company that I'll be going with and both need me to wait for my hazmat..... so I sit here bored... waiting.

Anyone in the Houston area need their lawns mowed? :biggrin_25525: lol

Fourth flat this month and 5th tire issue overall for August SO FAR. Don't exactly appreciate the wasted time. Figure 8 hours so far with no compensation.
