Mikey - at least you're only dealing with flat tires. A pain to be sure, but one that can be fixed rather easily. In the last 30 days I've had EIGHT bad trailer abs valves. If the mechanic knows what he's doing it takes an hour to swap one out, once he gets the parts - which may take 12-24a hours.

I'm here stuck at the Obetz, OH OC for two days. My 70 literally has 20 minutes on it. Come by and say hi if you're close.

March, 2008....took TWELVE Schneider trailers to various shops for different things....leaks, tires, slider pins....you name it. Got not a thing for all that time.

When I get a trailer like that, I just am easy in the brakes, especially in the rain. Most OC mechanics just unhook the wire and wait until the PM for the trailer is due anyway.

I get four hours today, and I can't go anywhere on that. By the time tomorrow comes I'll get 11 back, but that'll be a 34. On top of that I need an oil change.

What if we paid guys who found defects? Like say 10 bucks for a tire and 5 bucks for a light. Make it more for harder to find defects. Turn it into a game of some type. I know some people would say that drivers would just break stuff intentionally but I doubt you would risk getting fired for a few bucks. What do you guys think, should we all send some letters to the top or what because we do need to fix this problem.

I would make more money off that than I would miles. Sign me up.

I would imagine this would happen at least once though...
