Schneider Chat Room version 2.0

Places that do live loads/unloads that do not offer drivers a restroom piss me off. It's absolutely ridiculous, if you gotta go you gotta go. I can ALMOST understand it for places that only drop and hook where they want you in and out in a hurry, but even then... not extending the simple courtesy of a restroom to drivers is insane.

 

There's a place in Navarre Oh. that has no public restrooms for drivers. They have a port-a-john out by the fence and when I went out there to use it, the sticker that told the last time it was pumped out was a month prior. I believed it to, crap was piled up past the chemicals and the blow flies were all up in there. I walked out and dealt with it. Didn't really want blow flies bumping my butt lol

 

Do you guys get paid for all of this waiting? And if so, how much ?... If you don't mind my asking. (I'm not a driver yet ... Still trying to figure out if I want to...)

 

Thanks .... To me this would be the hardest part of the job ... Waiting for hours to get loaded/unloaded, especially when dock workers are lolly gagging... I'd want to strangle someone.

Does schneider pay detention automatically or is it something you have to ask (plead??) for?
