Anyone know how to turn off predictive cruise control? Tried pressing/holding every button imaginable, read owners manual, etc etc but can't figure it out. I'm getting sick of that crap to be honest

Yep 1800freightliner $200 they'll disengage it. But you'll void your warranty. U can try wrapping radar in aluminum foil ;4312937]Anyone know how to turn off predictive cruise control? Not about to put foil over the radar. I don't care about OnGuard, as annoying as it is it still serves a purpose.
Predictive cruise control, on the other hand, is so stupid. So sick and tired of it accelerating out of control down hills and leading into up hills, then as you're going up the hill it lets off the throttle well before you reach the top and next thing you know you lost 5mph for no reason. Then it always loves to just jam on the throttle just as you are about to enter a turn, so next thing you know you're fighting understeer around the turnFajo Thanks this. -

Or wait a few months and it will break on it's own.
When I told an SNI 'engineer' about mine not working his response was "I'm surprissed it lasted three months".mickimause Thanks this. -

Its built into on guard setup. It maps that terrain speeds up 6mph plus or minus.

More specifically, the RunSmart Predictive Cruise function looks up to one mile ahead and determine the road grades and other factors based on information provided by GPS and 3D digital map technology. The system then adjusts its speed to provide maximum fuel efficient while staying within 6 percent of the set speed, the company said in a statement for the press.
The digital map data is provided by NAVTEQ and includes information regarding more than 200,000 miles of truck routes across the United States, it added.
The NAVTEQ map provides the depth and accuracy required for fuel efficiency applications, said Bob Denaro, vice president of ADAS, NAVTEQ. Daimlers use of map attributes for an on-board application independent of a navigation system is a significant industry accomplishment demonstrating major innovation.
