Gone til sept 30 next year with a "naturalistic study" to show what fmcsa says it does.

On the whole current rarely affects me. But the have been instances where it has impacted my following week. Natural reset for me every weekend. If asked to run a sat or sun by thurs friday I'm screwed.

If the DOT regulation gets pulled but some morons at SNI decide to keep it around as company policy I will start looking at other carriers. That 1am to 5am BS KILLS me... 50+ hour restart, it's just unreal. Hopefully they'll be smart about about it and pull it it gets pulled from the DOT regs.

The way it is now it is still 34. If you start at 7pm on Saturday night and end it at 5pm Monday morning. Doesn't always work out that way I know, but in a politicians eyes it does.

The 34 hour part I really don't have a problem with, it's the two periods between 1am to 5am thing. I drive at night and oftentimes shut down anywhere from 5am to 9am. In order to get a restart I have to spend 2 periods from 1am to 5am, so that means the entire period from, say, shutting down at 9am, until the clock rolls over 1am the next day (16 hours I think?), is spent sitting that doesn't count towards my 34.

Don't worry, Schneider will tell us all about it in the February Extra Mile.

It seems to pull up a screen similar to the dvir screen in WF. My guess this is an addition by QHOS to make themselves more attractive product.
