I was a little peeved at the fact I had 43k of paper rolls and 975 miles and was coming off a PM; but before I can roll out of Portland they want me to start my clock and bobtail over to the clinic. I took the loaner car and stayed off the clock...yes I know it is suppose to be line 4 but I have better things to do with my limited recap hours then give up my precious body fluids especially when I don't even get paid for the wasted time.
When I was a paramedic we got paid for randoms; same was true for being on ski patrol.

Ferret has an idea who may have ratted me out to the man...that cat is in for a world of hurt, doubt he will feel a thing...that cat is flying!

 

Supposedly after 2 in a calender year you are supposed to get paid for all further drug testing. Not sure if that was just for bulk but I know I talked to a bulk driver that said he'd tell his dispatcher that he was totally wasted so they'd send him for drug and alchohol tests. He said after the first couple times they didn't even respond when he told them he was totally bombed because they knew he wanted free money to get constantly drug tested.

 

I always know when mine are trying to get in touch with me for drug testing. I never answer the phone first time when they call, I let them leave a message. If it's a drug test they won't leave a message and message the MCP asking me to call them. Then when I call in they ask when I'm leaving. I tell them "I don't know" because this KW don't roll until I "feel" like it which could be 1700 or maybe 2200. Then I ask why, and they say "nevermind" and end the call.

LOL.

Usually those goes on 2 or 3 times then they FINALLY catch me as soon as I log on to pre-trip and call me up and SURPRISE IT'S DRUG TEST TIME.

 

Little Eddy - stop letting the ferrent provide the sample and you'll stop getting "random" screenings.
