Don't know if they have a specific blood pressure requirement different than the DOT requirement. They do monitor your heart rate during the pre screen and you can be sent home for failing that.

I hate it when relay drivers don't know how to set ETA'S and change it ten different times and then I have to complete the load for them before I can go home after I sit all day waiting for them at my park location which is the oc. I guess that is trucking for you.

Oh ok well I'm good on my heart rate. I was monitoring it last night at the gym while exercising and it was fine.

Ok cool. Do you know if I will need to bring a health care provider FMCSA Sign-off form for this?

As long as any conditon is listed on your long form medical card and the doc doing that physical is aware , it shouldn't be an issue. The only thing I can think of is having a ready answer to the potential question of having the meds you need with you at al times while out on the road.
Call and ask your recruiter. If you are still unsure , ask to speak with SNI Medical.mickimause Thanks this. -
So got back from an extended weekend off, left Gary and headed to my pick up in aurora il. Make it almost to i57 and look down at the gauges. Temperature reading shot through the roof and was showing 235-240 degrees, check engine light on. Found a place to pull over ASAP and pop the hood. Everything looks fine. Get back in and temperature drops back to normal.
Decided to have my loads pulled and do a 180 straight back to gary. Head over to detroit diesel and they run diagnostics. Up to this point came back with a bad temperature sensor. Not sure if there's anything else yet (was really cold this morning so maybe thermostat was stuck). One things for sure though the second I pulled over initially the fan shot on so that might have been the case since everything appeared normal then. Either way sensor s/b under warrantee. -

Ermmmmmm, just realized i need to brush up on the ole trip planning skills. Being a home daily driver NAT etc wasnt a consideration as much as regional or otr. New gig will have a running area centered in Elyria Oh running west to Wi ( sometimes Minn) to a few customers down in Tejas, over to Ga. and the Carolinas up to Mass. Asked for some typical dummy loads via email to brush up with.
mickimause Thanks this.
