Take pictures showing no signs and take with you to court a video would be better.

Fortunately it takes the customer an hour or so to unload/reload and its only about a 1/2 mile from there. Easily walkable.

While a good suggestion, pictures/video taken today may not help, since frost laws are no longer active, at least to my knowledge.

Still have my fingers crossed it goes well for you, mr.

Day off for me....well, after sitting in the yard for 5 hours waiting on T/A road squad to come replace the brake chamber on the trailer I was picking up.

By the time he finished, our mechanics had shown up LOL, and they rescheduled the load.

Honestly, if you just want to test drive the program, I'd go with a 1 year lease on a brand new Cascadia, pay the $1,800 for the APU out of pocket if you really want the diesel APU. Sure, you don't get that money back, but look at it this way, if you get a used truck, unless it has a FULL warranty, you'll easily spend that $1,800 difference on fixing stuff that breaks on a used truck.

On my used Cascadia that I leased for a year, from January 2014 to the end of October 2014 when I pretty much stopped driving it when I bought my Kenworth, I had spend around $3,700 on fixing stuff, and that $3,700 is just on stuff that wore out and needed to be repaired, doesn't include regular maintenance like PMs. SNI will reimburse you for whatever you have left over in the maintenance account, so go with a new 1 year lease, anything that breaks is covered under warranty, it'll have brand new tires, etc., so you shouldn't have to worry about wearing that stuff out unless something is wrong and you don't catch it in time.

Honestly though especially for just 1 year, why not just go with the battery APU. It should work great during the winter, already has an inverter built in, should work most of the time during the summer, and if it can't quite keep up or you need to recharge the batteries, in the rare event that you need to, just idle. Sure, idling isn't great for these new trucks, but seriously, you can turn it back in at the end of the year, who cares, idle away when needed lol.

My Park Smart usually lasts 10 hours on AC. I don't do restarts on the road normally so I don't idle. The heat will run days in it. I even left it on over the winter when I was home to keep the water inside from freezing.

Just one of those days today. Show up at 9am with a p/u window of 800-1300. They say here it's a 1300 appt "preloaded" trailer. So here I sit after driving 1 hr to this place and now bye bye 14 hr clock. On top of that they tell me to bobtail in but customer is raising a big stink about that, told again to just bt by customer service, check back in 2 hrs later customer still demanding trailer, back to operations again, rinse repeat, waste away entire day over a $400 load etc etc

Tell them to take you off it since it's not the load you booked.
