How many loads a week does stuff like this NOT happen? It seems like all I read on these forums is constant load screw ups, miscommunication or no communication between company and customer, times all wrong etc.....Out of 100%, what percentage of loads actually go smoothly?

I wish I could get my hands on a list of all the different trailer initials with the account they are for... Just for my curiosity. There seems to be so many out there now.

I'd say for me roughly 95% of the loads go smooth it's the messed up ones we complain about. I run several loads a week and most weeks no issues but when it does mess up of course that's when I complain. So I'd say 95 %are smooth 5 are screwed up. But that's just my opinion.JOHNQPUBLIC, stevep1977, mickimause and 3 others Thank this.

Nobody ever really posts on the forum to say "my day was awesome!", but we all post when we're pissed and need to vent lol.

they way I am reading this the recinded restrictions apply to state trunklines only so far. County restrictions on the secondary roads still in effect. Could be wrong of course. they make it diificult to really understand without a law degree or knowledge of legalese on top of needing to visit more than one website to get the listings.mickimause, 91B20H8 and TennMan Thank this.

For me, a company driver, about 90% goes without problems. However, when it dose happen, it seems that I get a short series of loads that wined up giving me a pain. Especially when I'm in the northeast.

What an awesome start to today. After yesterday's ridiculous delays, show up at shipper last minute last night. Agree to drop empty in dock, bobtail to truckstop and come back in the AM. Show up today to grab my load, get the paperwork, and what do you know? Load that supposedly is going to Terre Haute, IN is actually going to Plano, IL. So now everything is screwed up again. Didn't like the rate quoted to Plano and didn't want to lose my preplan so now taking the risk of bobtailing 200 miles to my next load. Schneider and/or the broker needs to get their #### together. No one can run their business effectively with all of these screw ups. Or maybe I should just avoid menards freight entirely, I don't know

Yes, makes sense. Just like anything in life, you only hear the complaints. It was hard to distinguish how much good there is from the bad because the majority of the posts are the complaints.

Say you're at a customer and you see a truck back in front of a trailer; two guys get out and begin the coupling process - there is much gibber jabbering and gesturing. Would you walk up and try and engage them in idle conversation completely unrelated to their apparent task?
Then, a hour later when you see the same two guys at the truck stop, one of them backing into a spot while the other one is watching would you walk up and say "hey didn't I see you at ____? Where are you headed? Nice weather we're having.". And continue in that vein even after the spotter yells at the driver to stop and GOAl and is trying to explain exactly why what the driver was about to do is incredibly stupid?
I tried being polite, I tried being blunt and this guy just didn't get the hint I and myvtrainee needed to focus on what we were doing.mickimause Thanks this.
