note to self, DONT try to force the crank handle on the landing gear of those emerson trailers. Especially if the mechanic put a wabash handle on it. You just might wind up with stitches in your head.

Omg sni going to make you watch a safety training video. Hope your OK. They can be a pia. I wish every one wouldnt jack there trailers so hi. When you drop your trailer lower gear as far down that you can slide your foot under. That is low enough.

Yeah nothing like cranking down a load of paper rolls thats a good 4 inches above the top of your 5th wheel plate on an old trailer that hasn't had the gear greased in 2 years.

If you go on Crossroads and go under the "operations" tab where your scorecard is located, it will tell you your monthly miles. I'd give it a few days after 9/30 until it's updated accurately.

How come I get the feeling that some noobie team driver is going to drop a trailer on his teammates foot because he's following your advice LOL.

Personally i think schneider should have dump valves on their trucks because of all of the heavy loads we pull lol...i dropped a 46,659 load of water off and i cranked it twice and i still had trouble getting from under it

I'd much rather lower the nose of the trailer than raise it.

True, but drivers still drop the trailers way too high

as it turns out, while I was getting stitches they had the mobile trailer guy come out to see to this trailer. When I get to the truck last night to make on time delivery , I find that the same deal is at play. Crank clockwise , nothing. BUT it wasnt as hard as it was before when I whacked my head.
Get on the CB and ask the spotter to come over and get under it to release the pressure on the legs. He does and still the same deal. Just to check I try it counterclockwise like the wabash trailers raise thier legs, sure enough it now operates countercockwise .

NO NOTATION OR ANYTHING TO REFLECT THE REVERSAL. Our office night guy asked the yarddog for a marker and he corrected the instruction sticker.

I hope to either use this as leverage to transfer to another account or have them work it so I can get bonus. Just depends on when they say they made the reversal to the crank.
