I am so pumped up, my wife has finally went into labour. It's our second child... Got to deliver this load in Nashville, then on to Knoxville for TAH. Only 20 more minutes till the hour glass is full again. It's time, time to ride like the wind! (Thinking of the song by Christofer Cross)

Well, I'm off to a bit of a rought start. I finished orientation and got assigned a truck at around noon yesterday. Its an orange 2013 Cascadia. Truck number 66xxx with the older style fairings. I thought all the 2013+ trucks were all equiped with the newer fairings and truck numbers starting with 1xxxx but apparently not.

Anyways, freight sucks in Utah right now. Had to wait until this morning to pick up my first load. 65 mile run from Salt Lake City to Bear River City, all D&H. 3.5 hours later after delivery, I'm still waiting for my next load. Hopefully not too much longer I'll be out of this area and heading to greener pastures.

Might want to find a place to park, there's nothing within a 400-500 mile radius on the load board right now. There's a relay to Cheyenne, WY that delivers on Monday morning, whopping 442 miles so they aren't gonna give you that one yet. I guess they could find a last second brokered load today before it's too late though.

Actually just had a preassignment come in. 11K lb load from West Valley City Utah to Garden Grove CA. Unfortunately it won't be ready for pickup until 17:00 tomorrow. Delivery appointment isn't until 7/20 20:00.

Lucky for me, my dbl has my back. Thanks to some extra routing points I'm getting paid for 1309 miles on a 766 mile run. I don't want to run nights right now so I'll probably just run 3 or so hours after picking this load up tomorrow evening. Then try to set up a relay to drop this in Fontana at 17:00 on the 19th.

Ok my smooth week into next ground to a halt. My 870ish run was relayed to obetz , knocking off 668 miles from to finish/start the week off. Replaced by a 97 mile relay for monday delivery. Unknown to me when its due to arrive so I couldn't really edit etas and accept the load. Been a rough few weeks for pay.

Are you based out of the Salt Lake OC? Who is your DBL? I always had good luck getting out of SLC, but I always headed east too.

Yep, just finished got rehired yesterday. Used to be out of the Portland OC but recently moved to Nevada. I have Jake as my DBL. Freight is a bit soft in Utah right now. Yesterday the Salt Lake OC was filled up the most I've ever seen with drivers waiting for loads.
