What if there are a few trips that haven't had the BOL trans-flowed in...think they will still try to keep an earned bonus and not pay?

Yes and no, depending on what state you live in. Vacation payouts when an employee quits gets into dicey legal grounds. Fired they have to pay out, quitting can be different. I believe they pay out but when I go I'll take my vacation and give notice at the same time to be sure.

As for going IC instead of LTL - for some of us the math doesn't work. Once you factor in health insurance and risk factors (ie all the hubbub about low rates) the grass might not be greener or sweater.

If you remember Chickenwing - ran IC for 6 months or so before leaving for a union LTL job. He figured he would earn about as much, get health benefits, and be home everyday for his wife/kids. IC was working for him, but the local gig was better.
