You really think 75% of our drivers could figure out how to release the parking brake? Let alone get into gear?

######## like this causes a driver to look elsewhere, but here its part of a long long list of things I am no longer willing too tolerate by my planned continued employment here.
Sat 6 hours waiting for a load yeasterday. The one I did get eventually , shorts me a day of driving this week, and thus a smaller check. Ok , no problem I understand freight is "soft"
Load I am given states a ready time of 0800 with a pick up window of 0800-1500. Am told its a appt required load. I say shoot for a 0900 appt. On this account , generally teh appts are reserved for deliveries, but whatever, just take 10 only and roll to make it. Load auto adjusts to reflect 0800 appt time. WTF, ok I can still make it.
Arrive on time, check in , only to find out this is considered an LTL load and as such doesnt ship before 1230. ALWAYS. Shipper says SNI KNOWS THIS. DSR wasnt informed til this morning that it was LTL or what that entailed. She was unaware that LTL loads out of this particular location for the account dont shiip til 1230.
My load isn even on the property yet for ####s sake!!!
You mother####ers better get your #### together in Green Bay. Its not out of the realm of possibility for a driver to become so incensed that a Katy Tx situation happens here. Absolutely galling that we are held to a standard of accountability and accuracy with soooo many factors beyond our direct control and thsoe in this company that have a far greater opportunity for accuracy under their direct control fail as often as they do. ####ing ludicris a multibiillion dollar global compnay is that ineffcient.
But no, lets impose soem useless "safety" systems on our fleet of proven safe drivers because we take any body with a pulse and a cdl.surf_avenue, PoleCrusher, 48Packard and 6 others Thank this. -
@mickeyrat woooosa driver. But yeah, I agree, the inefficiency and lack of personal responsibility coming out of the puzzlepalace is filling the outhouse basin.
PoleCrusher, 48Packard, mickimause and 2 others Thank this. -
Well said Mickeyrat, that sort of thing happens all too often.
48Packard Thanks this. -
Wow..... I agree with the lack of accountability outside of the cab of the truck.
I was told today IC'S aren't required to do any training within SNI so I asked about the recert was told that's not training just an evaluation so I asked about the quarterly training and was told that's safety and it won't change.PoleCrusher and 91B20H8 Thank this. -
And how often have we been told that SNI is working with the companies to improve these issues?

It's easier to lie to a driver than fix CS.
PoleCrusher, 48Packard, 91B20H8 and 2 others Thank this.
