Paccar is off my list I will never buy another Paccar engine nor lease one.

Woke up this morning, did pre trip, started truck pulled out of parking spot and check engine lights come on before I even get 100 yards truck dies I coast into another spot. Stop pop hood check for any visible problems I don't see any. I try and start the truck and all it does is turn over will not fire. It's same thing that happened the previous 2 times it's been towed (today is the 3rd) this truck has had 4 fuel pumps replaced and looks to be this will be the 5th.

Waiting on tow truck, guess I'll be heading to the house, I just left last night.

Oh well another 400 dollar relay fee to SNI.

Any IC's near Knoxville that need a load. Ask for the 400 relay fee too!

 

Well, that just sucks! Guess you should have stayed home for the weekend.

 

Yep I shouldve, but I saw 2 loads for 2400 plus in revenue that I could run and deliver by Monday morning which would've given me about 4300 for the week so I got greedy and look where that got me.

 

So now I sit and wait to be towed to Knoxville but good news is I'll go back home and take the week off.

 

There has to be an underlying problem that keeps killing fuel pumps

 

I just can't understand for the life of it why SFI keeps ordering these paccar engines.. they need to just go ahead and put a Cummins motor in those trucks

 

They get a better price on the trucks for using the OEM engines. Paccar = Maxforce, junk.

 

I agree... What these Bean counters don't seem to realize it saving that much money on that engine because it's cheaper it's going to cost you more because you're going to be down more

These are the new emission engine being put out by Cummins to replace the ISX

 

I'm going to be in discussions with SFI about this issue.

If in fact it is a fuel pump again which all signs point to then it will be the 5th time.
