seems real short sighted to ship van and not flat. especially without friction mats. or blocking to nail to the floor.

They wouldn't block and brace and I only have 4 blocks in my toolbox. I would have needed at least 42. The problem is that there are 4 side by side stacks and the rest are single. Once the middle single stacks budged, all hell broke loose.

I would have refused that load. I cant beleive that they sent it out that way. If you so much as breath on the things, they can slide. I wish I still had the pics of the iron and copper that Ive hauled. The shipper always matted, blocked and braced and then I strapped the tar out of it. Glad you werent hurt and the trailer survived

Brand new 162 trailer too. I was 1 of 3 Schneider trucks there so even though I didn't like it, I didn't put up much fight after they refused to block it. I really should have called CS and refused it. I never hauled anything like this and the remarks were empty other than saying driver parking available even though the 20 signs they had posted proved that wrong. I will not be going back there again even if I have to take a service failure. BTW Tennman, it came from Spectro Alloys in Rosemount, MN a few miles down the road from the SNI drop lot and Pilot.

    TennMan Thanks this.

    Well, howdy.

Feeling better of late for several reasons, none of which has anything directly to do with SNI. But trailer issues have been fewer of late, so that's an improvement.

183k on the Cascadia. Still no breakdowns, but the earlier alignment issues with the steers is starting to catch up to the drives. Really only have two drives that are wearing evenly; the others have varying degrees of uneven wear, minor chunking, etc. Really don't want to replace just two...would rather go four or all eight. The steers (Bridgestone) have 82k miles on them and look new.

Still working on my eventual exit from all this, but with a more relaxed countenance and friendlier demeanor.

    Most of the time.
