As an IC, mine is lit up. Probably will go dark though. Web browser went dark a few updates ago.

Intermodal tractors have them. Very frustrating to use. Must be used for hazmat and loads going to Mexico. I used transflow for everything else.

If the web browser icon is no longer lit, that's false advertising. The scheniderjobs.com website states that the in-cab Qualcomm units feature web browsing. Even if it doesn't work after you click on it!

Apparently Prime has scanners in their trucks. Not sure if all trucks have them but the driver I talked to said they were absolute garbage too.

I just heard a radio for Schneider saying that they would hire drivers in places remote places like Alaska or Florida they would pay to fly you back home every 3 weeks for TAH for dedicated intermodal and other sites. Are they hurting that bad for drivers

They are trying to fill as many trucks as possible before the company goes public.

My last trainees - Del Rio TX, AK, FL, AK, FL. Yup, we're hiring the unhirable. However it's seems they unhirable for reasons other than location as well - spent 7 full hours working on HOS guy this week,

Fill the seats and show maximum utilization of available equiptment.

Don't matter they starve all their drivers.

    Gotta love the greedy.

To be fair it does provide surge and truck movements.

One of the big problems Gary has in keeping drivers is there are so many "local" companies around Chicago that offer just a little more than starting OTR pay and a closer terminal with more home time. A lot off these "mobile fleet" guys will end up basically being Gary drivers.
