Schneider Chat Room version 2.0

Saw a JB Hunt pulling a Family Dollar trailer today, first one that I've ever noticed. I thought they didn't hire students, I wonder how they get anyone to sign up for that ?

 

Can't remember if it was family Dollar or one of the other dollar stores but I've seen them pulling them before. This time of year, everyone seems to be pulling everyone else's trailers anyhow. I see JB hunt pulling tankers and flats alot in Massachusetts. Not the home Depot flats but they pull them too.

 

Unfortunately I have to wait. You can't apply or be interviewed more than a month before you go to school, and I can't start till January as i will not be finished with my current job until Christmas eve.

Not to mention I still need my last 3 pay checks to finish saving to cover my downtime costs while I await my first 2 Schneider checks.

 

6 drop and hooks today. #### I'm whooped. Then box decides to have me go somewhere else for one of my mt's. 7 different customers today. Zzzzzzz time.

 

13 trucks outside, 5 1/2 hours left on my clock and 0 loads. Splendid.

 

But they need to hire more drivers because there's a driver shortage....

 

Application is in. Waiting on the phone call. The job posting is now for Michigan Missouri Ohio and Wisconsin instead of just Ohio in Wisconsin apparently they're trying to make things easier for the recruiters by combining multiple locations so they don't have 17 million different requisition IDs

 

There were twice as many trucks as I've ever seen there at one time. That and the empty baskets that are always overflowing along with the complete lack of communication the last few days I thought for sure they closed the account and were having us clean out our trucks. Can't lie, I got a little excited for a second. The crushing thought of our household finances scared me straight quick though. 2 hours later I received the bills for my 2 stop drop in Brooklyn and LI tomorrow that I have no idea how I'm going to make happen and I got excited about cleaning out my truck again.

 

They saved that load just for you!
