I think you might find that your state of mind affects your shifting. If you are having a tough day and you're getting stressed out you'll probably find that you're missing gears and nothing seems to want to go right. Just try to relax I'd say.

 

Whelp, off to take my drug test for the new company I'm leasing on with. I think I'll keep nosing around the Schneider threads, though, as the new place I'm going to doesn't have any! This is all so exciting/nerve-wracking. It's felt kinda nice this last week, though, not worrying about looking at the load board at all.

Going to a local gig, pulling 53' intermodal containers around Denver on an 81% rate. I'll be home every night, off weekends, and delivering to a lot of the places I was delivering on the Denver side, anyway. The company only has about 30 drivers, so it will be nice to be a name and not a driver number, yanno? Consequently, they'd know real quick who I was if I put their name here, so until I get settled in, I hope you all pardon me not giving that out, yet.

 

nah, that's cool.....I don't think anyone but you and Capt'n Dave are from that part of the world anyway.....good luck and happy trails!

 

LOL, there's a few others, but they don't seem to hang around on here. I hope that hustling several short loads a day, and being more active will help with how soft and doughy I've become over the past 4 years!

Awesome drop today. Not only does my trailer have a tail (first time I've had one) but I also got to take it into a cave!

Took some cojones to convince myself that I actually was supposed to drive into that entrance.

(That's off the dashcam, no I don't take pictures while driving!)
