    Thanks Steve,
You are right and this is the end of my first week of training with Schneider and I cannot goon OTR because of that ## shifting. Apparently they don't have automatic training trucks. At least they give me one more week to try.
Thank you for your advice I will try to relax.

That makes me sick. Then we wonder why citoes and towns refuse to allow new truck stops to be built

Interesting, because Schneider actually advertises that they hire people with an automatic only restriction on their license. Maybe they only send those guys to a specific place for training.

Best of luck, relax, you have an entire week to get more practice in. :)

I promise you, some day in the not so distant future, you will look back and laugh at how much trouble you had with shifting, backing and all that. Just drive the truck. It's silly, I know, but that's what my TE would say when I missed a gear or did something stupid. If you are still beating yourself up for forgetting to flip the selector at that last stop sign, you are not going to be able to focus on the task at hand. Which is just to drive the truck. For what it's worth, I forgot the T-bar twice in 1,000 ft. on my final road test and they passed me first try.

I don't know how to drive a manual. The last time I drove one, I was in school.

This what happens when you don't do a police call every day.
