So, did a "favor" for my DBL today.

Came into work and was asked if I could grab a different truck and run it to Woodhaven to meet a driver and take their truck back to the Columbus OC because their Qualcomm crapped out and needed to be fixed. No problem I say.....

Well, they didn't tell me this driver is on a "heavy" account and the truck I am driving up is a "lightweight" truck. Brand new Columbia Glider. No passenger seat, only one fuel tank, shorter truck, and super singles! Things drives like crap. Anyways, get to Woodhaven about 1400 and was told the driver would be here at 1600 to swap out. Driver calls me at 1530 to inform me she didn't have the hours to make it to Woodhaven till the morning! So, here I sit, best part is, in the morning, I get to go into detroit to pick up a load and bring it back down to Columbus with a truck with no Qualcomm, I haven't filled out a paper log in over 2 years LOL.

Don't complain about paper..... Just sayin.

Stuck at a J until I can get hold of tech support on rebooting my Qualcomm. The thing cost me a day so far cause its stuck on the previous load. As soon as I get to an OC I'm going to have maintenance take a look at it or just replace it entirely. Paper logs aren't sounding so bad at this point.

 

Ok, help me out fellow pumpkins, might have been the sun in my eyes or a bad PFJ burrito, but I swear I saw a White Schneider truck pullin a reefer on 55/39 coming up through Illinois todaycould it be?

 

Could have been a Target or Schriber dedicated driver, or possibily Miller Coors if it wasn't a reefer. It seems like we've made a big push into dedicated fleets over the last year.
