Can anyone help me with this (gentleroger???!!)... who do I need to call:
For some reason when I switched from company to IC I stopped being able to use the SchneiderU training thing. I couldn't access it to do the 1st quarter sustainment training. I had to call IT support and they apparently "recreated" my account and it worked fine then.
All my past and current settlements disappeared and I can't access them nor fuel tax records. My ATBS tax info also pulls from this page apparently, as all I'm seeing is zero's on ATBS's website now. I really need these back but I keep getting the runaround.
IT support says they've tried and need to get in touch with my ICA and are waiting on that.
My ICA says there is nothing she can do and its up to tech support to fix it.
I'm about to put my boot up someones ***.
Meanwhile I'm here without access to any of my past or current settlements and therefore tax data as well. Its the beginning of the year, I've had a good solid first month and ready to do some number crunching to plan for the rest of the year... BUT I CAN'T.
WHO DO I CALL?

In Houston, at the Bulk OC, finishing up a restart, living out of the vending machines. I had a good conversation with the head Bulk instructor(whose name I forgot about 2 seconds after he to it to me). But I officially hate Houston. Besides the unwritten rule that every truckstop in the area must fill up at by 5 PM and the amazing amount of traffic, How can We be the biggest and best(their words, not mine) Interstate carrier and have Students and New Drivers that are treated this badly? There are guys here that ave been waiting 4 days for Pm's and the trucks are leaving with more things wrong than what they had coming in. I spent 5 hours today helping a student get moved into his first, then his second truck, and learning the qcom and how to log and how to plan his trips. I really had to question how thorough Schneiders training is. But anyway, they assign him a truck that is 2011 with 300k on her, looks decent, but drives like the front axle is going to fall off. Truck had expired IFTA, Registration, everything. Looked like it had sat for a month and it stunk. He gets it cleaned up and spends a large amount of time trying to get it legal and his very first run is going out and hunting for an empty. He get one and goes and loads and immediately has to bring the truck back to the terminal. It's undrivable, because the front end is vibrating so hard, it's knocking things off his shelves.
He brings it back and they eventually put him in another 2011 with 220k on it and this truck has been beat to heck and back. Front bumper still has straps on it where it was towed at one point. Driverside airfoil is smashed against the cab. Drivers chair is broke somehow. Truck is absolutely filthy and stinks. And of course the Registration is expired, as is the IFTA and He has to redo the whole book again, which for whatever reason, whomever He is talking to, starts arguing with him over it.
He finds a tire on his trailer that is right at DOT minimum spec, with a bald smooth spot and the shop here won't change it and all basically calls him an idiot for bringing it up.. His run was due tomorrow in Kansas and He won't be leaving until tomorrow, because He spent all day working on 2 trucks, trying to get them legal. He is terrified that He is going to get pulled over and they are going to find something wrong with the truck and shut him down. I tried not to overload him with info as I know how rough the first few days can be. I made sure(I hope) that he understood his logs and how to use the qcom. He was really frustrated and is still outside trying to get the funk out of his truck several hours later. I feel bad for him. His first experience in trucking and He is already being shown that nobody gives a crap about him here. I'm hoping that I at least gave him a positive spin on things.
On a different note, I get to do a local run tomorrow. Go grab a haz mat load 20 miles away, bring it back for a relay, grab an MT then GO BACK AGAIN to the same place and get my haz mat load and high tail it up to Ada, Michigan for a Monday delivery, with Storms hitting that whole area all weekend. I'm hoping that my Truck will IDle and the Bunk heater will work. If it gets below 30, then the bunk heater doesn't work and the truck won't Idle unless it's below 10. Shop has looked at the Bunk heater about 7 times and tell me there's nothing wrong with it and was told to get a better sleeping bag. They could care less about idling the truck. But I still have to pay for it if the fuel gels or if the truck won't start because it's too cold and the batteries die.
Bout ready to start drinking LOLscatruck, OldRoadie, Slowmotion35 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Scythe? I think he's had a terrible experience to begin working for Schneider. BUT your actions went a long way to balance that out. Good looking out.
Not defend shops necessarily but they are limited in what they are allowed to do. Most I've spoke with would rather get us going cost be ######. They know who butters the bread. -
I'm out of Houston for the pm I put mine appt 2 weeks in advance it's always packed hopefully when they open the other shop it will work out better way too many trucks in a very small area
