I'd have to agree with you on that. I don't know how it's been lately, but as incentive the companies would give teams their newest units and bump them up 3 - 4 mph over solo units. Rather than money being the motivating factor, I'd bet a good number them made the switch simply to get out of the old broke-down pos, while being able to trail closer behind the big boys.
