There are loads in the north east that pay over 5.00 a mile
You will do good to leave NE going south or West for 1.40 or more

Thanks DenaliDad- I have run some out east on 48/Canada jobs, but 11 Western has been home most of my driving career, so I'm comfortable with the routes, mountains, etc.

If you want to run the NE just be prepared for low rates heading West or South but you can find 3.00 + going into the NE. You will have to figure out what lanes youre willing to run and which you aren't. SFI and SNI give us Choice driver's everything we need to succeed as far as opportunity, whether we do or not is purely based on each individuals decision on what and where they're willing to run. I usually spend a lot of time at home and I still make more money than a company driver. It's not for every one nor should or would I encourage every one to do it. This is a business and it needs to be treated as such, if you run it for a bigger check only you will fail and if you doon't believe me just read all the naysayer's post's or the ones who blame every one but themselves. Work hard and run smart and you can succeed but if you can't control your spending and can't save a dime then you will fail I guarantee it.

Next week is my last week as a CO driver.... Pick up my NEW 2015 Cascadia EVO 10speed(sorryJH) White in Charlotte on the 17th....

Still trying to figure whether I will follow JH's fueling program or just use "FuelFinder" website, or a combination of both.....

Have you thought about truck miles? Truck miles.com They have a good fuel optimizer program. You put in your route and it calculates all the fuel stops along the route where fuel is the cheapest.
