The kW won't "hold value" better. It's most likely 20-30k more than the freight liner. So that factors into the resell price at the end. You paid more upfront so you can sell it for more on the backend.

 

Question:

How long does it take to adjust from a company or regular lease mindset (the company dishes out all the loads; your only choice as a L/O is to take it or not) to using a load board to line up trips? And does the company help make that adjustment? I am trying to understand the Choice program completely as part of my decision making process.

 

It's not hard to line up loads but I'd start with booking 1-2 loads at a time Instead of going all out and trying to book a week . The company will give you a day of load board training but you don't really get a tutor etc .. It's pretty easy once you see it its not your typical load board just point , click , verify , assign .

 

Schneider has emailed me a 1099 to fill out and send back. Does anyone know a way to have it printed out on the road? I'll fill it out and fax it back at a truck stop. Thanks.

 

Putting xtra money down won't lower the payment at sfi. The 5k for the premium trucks isnt used to lower payment they just hpld onto it till end of lease.

 

Buy a printer for your truck/office on wheels. Canon has a nicr mobile unit.

 

Yeah. But do you think I would need it on a regular basis? I was thinking it would collect dust.

 

I'm not putting down 5k if I trade is put down close to 30-35k

 

Calk your recruiter and get a fax number and have them fax it to you with a return number I did this it works

 

Or - have them fax to you and you can email it back off your phone if you have a android or iphone download the CAMSCANNER app and it will email it back to them works great I use it all the time very clear .. Get your recruiters email and have them fax you the 1099
