I am happy enough to pass on going back to my dedicated gig, and stick with it. With me living right outside Chicago, the last 2 weeks I have been able to clear $1800 bring home (truck get 5.4mpg) working Mon-Fri and off the weekend. This next week I will actually do much better, but I will be taking a hit when I drop off in Denver and wait till Monday for a laod out. Most of the freight in that area is paying about $1.15-$1.25 back east and west. But from Tues-Sat I will clear $4,000 gross

Due to our sue happy society it is no longer worth the risk to run illegal to make a living as a truck driver. I believe you will be less stressed as well.

Also, with the discounts associated with being leased to a major carrier such as SNI you should see a better bottom line. At the end of the year it's not all about gross revenue, but net profits.

    trucker91 Thanks this.

How about living in mid-TN? along I-24? That have me in a decent area getting out and back in? Does SNI do any outbound/inbound loads to Nissan in Decherd or Smyrna and how do they pay? What all have you done to improve your MBN did Haney flash it?

SNI does quite a bit of loads to TN, mainly Nashville area. Pay is typical freight pay, about $1.45-$1.65 a mile and most loads go south and to Texas.

They do pull freight out of Nissan, but that is dedicated stuff and not on the load board.

As far as my engine goes, I have not had anything done to it. I've just been setting the cruise at 60mph and hoping to keep out of the headwinds.

Doesn't seem like SNI is going to work out for me. It sucks they dont post any of that dedicated freight it surely pays well and is probably lightweight. But how how difficult could it be to get up into the midwest area work that and then back down to nashville after a week out?

Your cruise control usage is killing your fuel mileage. It'll have your turbo spooling in flats. I wouldn't waste money on a PDI tune if you're hoping for awesome economy gains. You'll get a couple of tenths maybe 3. Best cheapest upgrade is a fuel temp wire. Then get Haney to flash one of his pre-low NOX cat files in 6NZ, or 7CZ. I did the 2300rpm 6NZ 550/1850 flash plus replaced the burnt out stock turbo with the borg warner non waste gated he recommends. $2800 of upgrades netted 2 tenths mpg. Runs great no more high egt's or water temps more than enough power. You'll never get significant economy gains with an MBN until you marine cam it and swap out for 6NZ injectors, pistons... Just clocked a million on the odo yesterday with mine. It may only get 5.8 but it doesnt burn oil and never lets me down..

most of the dedicated stuff is teams I believe. and all company trucks. SNI doesn't hire company dricers like most trucking companies. they hire drivers for a job more then just hirng them and putting them out on the road for whatever. at east it seems that way to me I don't know crap about company drivers othr then what I hear
