Hey all,
I'm considering Schneider. I don't have any OTR experience, however, I'm a LTL linehaul driver pulling doubes. I have 1-2 years experience class a driving. Would Schneider consider me a newbie or experienced driver? I'm wondering if I would have to go with a trainer and if so, how long?
Thanks

No, you'd be an experienced driver. Just a couple of days orientation, and you'll be on your way.
-
orientation for exp drivers is like 3 days. Paperwork stuff, going over sni policy etc, qcomm/wf training then a check ride.
I would ask your recruiter though
AM curious though, why the switch? -
I saw a Schneider truck hooked up to family dollar doubles in Wisconsin this week.

Could an experienced driver really make 60k OTR with SNI? Thinking about going this direction and working over to IC since SFI didn't like my lack of recent OTR experience.

I'm starting next Monday as an O/O in Phoenix. Bought my own truck and will be doing the IC Choice deal. I too came from LTL.
SRA427 and BackIsSore Thank this. -
Have you done OTR in the past few years before LTL? After almost 10 years in LTL since my last OTR stint the SFI person was done talking to me lol, but SNI still gave me the green light to come over to IC if I could get a truck on my own.

I haven't run truckload OTR since 2000! I've been doing LTL OTR since 03. That last 10 years out of Kingman, Az. LTL OTR is totally different deal than truckload OTR as you know. I've basiablly ran a 600 mile radias of Kingman.
Who's SFI? -
SFI is Schneider finance. That's the side of Schneider you go through to lease a truck.Boy Howdey Thanks this.
