That is basically on trucks that are set up for the systems already. For many of us, if not most of us, that simply isn't an option.
I see the folks spouting off about "the cost of running a business". These folks would be singing a different tune if this was something they were facing. Regardless, it is funny to see these folks schooling everyone on what it takes to run a business.

The main one defending it is a Polish Prince who doesn't even have his CDL.mxpx148, PoleCrusher, Friday and 7 others Thank this. -
Well, that kind caps it for me. I'll ride it out till next August, but there's no way I'm doing this.
I feel really sorry for the fellas that took out a 5 year lease 4 years ago who don't have this BS on their trucks. Just as soon as you get a truck with 600-800,000 miles on it paid off, the company don't want you no more. Man, it's just a bad deal all the way around. You know, you'd think with the unnatural number of lease turn in in the Charlotte yard alone, they'd get the message. But, the folks at Schneider can be a hard headed bunch.
Stop being so egocentric!!!! Here's the real deal............Lofgren busted balls to make everyone get ELD's....and to put people out of business. He just testified before congress.

here's what you really need to hear, know, and understand EXACTLY what he meant..........
“there ought to be incentives to get people to invest.”
and those 'incentives' would be the opportunity to stay in business.
It's been a really good ride, but I'm done.Sipesh, drvrtech77, driverdriver and 4 others Thank this. -
Well, at least he's right about one thing. We need to educate people on how to properly drive around trucks. Even a video in driver's ed class would go a long way..yes there are stupid drivers out there, and there always will be, but many people simply do not know that the things they are doing are wrong and can be disastrous.
The only truck PSAs I can think of are the "leave more space when passing" signs in KY and NH, and the "Don't drive in the no-zone" trailers that you see once in a blue moon, that probably nobody looks at.
Not to derail your point, I totally agree with you that ol Chris' actions are hurtful to the little guy while benefiting the mega carriers.TennMan Thanks this. -
I'd bet he personally owns stock in the technology.

They will get the laws and regulations passed too. Owner operators and small fleets everywhere should be watching this closely.
You would think he would be meeting with other CEOs of private sector companies trying to sell decent paying freight instead of hanging around DC selling the whole industry down the river.TennMan Thanks this.
