Is this your lame attempt at being offensive.
Lmao -
Not at all.
Are you offended? -
Earlier today I met a former IC driver who brought his truck over to JCT because of the BS going on over their. He had just finished orientation. I had been reading this thread and chuckled to myself when I pulled into our yard and saw the former Schneider truck sitting there. Guess y'all are already starting to leave.

That facility is dfs...also sfi office...those are brand new trucks in that lot...I've been in their before...the actual oc is few miles away...
Also this facility will be used as the west coast orientation hub for ic's... -
If I am going to be dispatched, I will be in a company truck.
There is no way I would bring my truck to a mileage based, dispatched company. No disrespect to JCT, but that guy isn't going to be better off over there.
Even if he got 3k miles a week, minus fuel and truck payment, he's looking at chump change. And he's pulling heavy reefer freight to boot!
Even a chimpanzee could manage to earn chump change at SNI.RStewart Thanks this. -
I forgot to mention home time. Now he has to ask to go home lol.
-
Remember that one scene from Titanic?
" Rose, just follow the rats." -
To each their own. I don't know how the payments are set up through SFI, but it's my understanding it's higher than JCT (ours is based on mileage for the week). So, that's his issue, not JCT or mine. Gave him a few pointers on the system here, so, hopefully he makes it work for him.
And yes we are dispatched, but can turn any load we don't want for any reason. That's up to each individual driver. But, you probably won't get another load til the next day because you go to the end of the line when you do.
As far a taking time off; it's not asking to go home. It's telling them I need to be home on that day. I have never had issue getting home when I need to be. Some areas are easier than others, but that's every company even if you are picking your own loads.
The point was that now I believe the IC's are starting to leave now that I have seen it for myself. I wasn't trying to start a debate of who is better than who. That's all drivers choice.Opus, PoleCrusher, duddie and 2 others Thank this. -
Doesn't JCT pay 90 cents per mile????!??
