This would be no different than any other safety related job where an independent contractor would be required to have certain safety equipment to reduce the risk as best as possible. I would need to go back through some stuff but I vaguely remember a ruling about companies that are safety related and not just transportation related requiring certain safety equipment but still does not mean you're an employee of that company.
That'll be what Schneider will hide behind with any lawsuit they come up against. It's totally fracked up on how they keep screwing you all!
