I too do get what the big deal is... obviously Schneider has been keeping you ICs happy with pay or all you wouldnt be hauling the freight for them. Make the investment to keep making money or like many pointed out... move on...

Looks like the herd will be nice and cleared for me when i come in... with my OnGuard truck...

Anyone even know how much getting OnGuard installed costs?

Cruise control doesn't need to be on for it to do it. Both times it happened to me mine was off.

It's a needless expense. There's no ROI, therefore, I don't need it. It's just Chris's way of getting rid of the ICs.

Can you (or anyone) be more specific as to what the letter says regarding makes of collision avoidance systems?

You state it includes Bendix, but not Wingman. Bendix makes Wingman. My Volvo has what they call VEC (Volvo Enhanced Cruise), also made by Bendix. Thanks.

No real details at this point. They want the system that communicates with the Qualcomm. I only seen copy of letter and ica confirmed. I haven't gotten mine yet. All it says is Bendix, Ongaurd, or the Detroit models. I'm thinking and hoping that they will allow the Vec being I have a Volvo. If I stay that would be the model I would use. Only way to be sure would be to ask. I was only confirmed on the models and the date we have to comply by. I have seen them using all the Ongaurd on all new Kenworth company trucks instead of Wingman. Like I said still need more info on specifics. The letter doesn't go into that much detail.

Since you have a Volvo too you know where I am coming from. Nowhere in the Volvo literature does it state Wingman, but it is made by Bendix. Does VEC communicate with the Qualcomm? I'm not sure what you mean by that...
