If all you have on your USIS/DAC report is one minor accident or incident
you wont have to much trouble finding another truck driving job.Just keep
looking quite a few companies are still looking for drivers although they most
likely wont be any diffirent then Schneider.Did they terminate you or did you
quit? When you leave a company try not to raise hell going out the door or
your just screwing yourself.Try to give them 2 weeks notice and turn in a
clean truck and dont curse at or threaten anybody.
schneider is the worst.

ziggystyles I got a couple of questions for ya about Schneider, please email me at paynelt88@yahoo.com
Thanks for your time! -
Rule of trucking:
Regarding every company (OTR, LTL, P & D, LMNOP...whatever)....some will swear by it, some will swear at it, some will swear about it.
You find the situation that works for you. I drive for SNI. A bit over 2 years now. I get home when I'm supposed to. My miles are decent. My relationship with my DM is very good. I like where I run the vast majority of the time. I run legal. My paychecks are right. I get detention or layover pay as stated, including $130 per day for two days when SNI screwed up and tried to have me deliver on Labor Day when the consignee was closed. This was done without me asking for a specific amount or demanding adequate compensation. My DM took care of it.
Perfect? Please. But overall a very good experience.
Would I like to be home more? Sure. But I don't want a P & D city job. Line haul would be OK, or perhaps tankers. But I'm almost 49 years old, and I'm really trying to simplify my life. In other words, I just refuse to worry about every stinking thing anymore. So I'll stay with Schneider until I'm ready to go.
Find what works for you and enjoy the ride the best you can...and be safe! -
Expect the Green Bay OC to be out of fuel soon, Nov 13-17 some are saying. Fuel up at the Pilot on Ryan Rd (Oak Creek). Mechanics were moving their junk out this Monday.
I would expect Seville is similiar. -
The fact they are closing their 'flagship' terminal, I mean they are based out of GB right? That throws up some redflags...
-
I would hardly call GB the "flagship" but it has been there quite awhile and I thought about 800 drivers were based there (assume fewer now).
The logistics part is in GB (different location) and that is the flagship, mothership etc.
I would say freight contracts came up and fleece-ops, bottom-feeders were able to underbid on some contracts = it will be interesting how US Express does on DG and Family Dollar.
Less freight = companies must cut back on all employees.
