The rule states: you can not DRIVE after 11 hours of driving. You can not DRIVE after 14 hours on duty. You can not DRIVE after 70 hours on duty and / or driving. You can be on duty 24/7/365. You just have to take the appropriate rest break before you can DRIVE again.

I get that. 70 in 8 days suggests some time spent on line 4 meaning 70 hrs driving isnt available. Which is how it was phrased in the referrenced post.

Sorry. The way I read it was, you can't work after 70 hours in 8 days, which is false. But, I agree, driving 70 hours is almost impossible. Unless you are a lazy team driver and that is all you do is drive.

When you say your monthly mileage is between 7.2 and 7.6, that likely means you don't know where it is. Only way you know your average is if you are tracking it, and you will have and exact x.xx number to brag about at that point.

You running 34 inch rims on that truck? 1350 rpm with 2.64 gears is nowhere near 75mph running in direct. Not even CLOSE!

All that I can add is theres times I have maybe booked things alittle tight and I have to run 70's to make it...yes it hurts the MPGs. Going on month 5 now I love it never been a Schneider Company driver came from Millis...I have spent alot of time off in the last 3 weeks just due to family stuff, weddings, Nascar Parties, grand kid stuff and still making way more than I ever mad at Millis and paying off a truck which I pay extra towards each week...I was just off for 10 days and not in the hole at all. But as all these guys point outit is a business and you have to be smart.
