What would the fixed costs be, and what do they cover?
Also, what are Schneider's rules on things like Personal Conveyance, and dropping a trailer at the truck stop near my house and bobtailing home?

Fixed cost depends on the truck you choose. Ballpark $1050 to $1200 a week.
You can line 5 if you are not under a dispatch, have no preassignments, are bt, and have time available on your 14 hr clock.TransplantBadger Thanks this. -
what If your past 6 months on the lease and want to break it they keep maintenance and Escrow account? What if you don't return the truck to Green bay but just another OC?
-
If you are thinking like that, Don't even start!!!PoleCrusher, drvrtech77, freightwipper and 1 other person Thank this.
-
They keep maintenance, escrow, deposit then they charge you a 5000 reconditioning fee as well as a 1500 dollar repositioning fee. You also burn a bridge and I'm sure there's a hot to your DAC.
Home_on_wheels and freightwipper Thank this. -
I agree

So, would a "preassignment" be considered a load I've booked on Friday for Monday pickup near home?
-
A preassigned is any load you booked that has yet to be started.
I think you have to have a preassigned loadb booked a bit out and you for example bobtail around home for the weekend Schneider wouldn't care.
I've done this and they said nothing.TransplantBadger Thanks this. -
You can be on line 5 with a pre assignment.
drvrtech77 Thanks this. -
This is why they're cracking down and being very picky who they approve...if you're not in it for the longterm..then don't bother...if you do a one year lease..then finish the the term....PXI Incorporated and Home_on_wheels Thank this.
