And credit report if you don't finish the lease.

Because nothing bad happened. If you had an accident, your contract would have been terminated. The policy is no preassignments.

Its a liability issue. They don't want any legal challenge to the use of personal conveyance in the event of a lawsuit.

How are the first year, zero (or minimum down payment) trucks set up?

Are they clean when you get them or did a family of pigs recently get evicted?

An APU or inverter at least?

What about for example, a breakdown just as one is starting out?

This seems a little heavy-handed and over reaching to me. I've never heard of any issues at any company jist because a driver has a load assigned 2 days from now that doesn't even pick up. I cannot think of why this would affect anything to do with the load, especially if you have bobtail insurance in place.

What other areas do they tend to over reach into?

This is sort of my hang up with big companies, that they add so much to the job that doesn't really need to be there...

    No split logging.

Road test, every year that you have to schedule weeks in advance.

Ours is the only elog that puts you on drive line as soon as the wheels move, even if its only an inch, once the threshold is crossed.

Quarterly truck inspections, not that big a deal (they pay), but annoying.

Quarterly safety training, done online which most of us have to do at an OC.

If a motorist calls in on you, they get the benefit of doubt. I'm still looking for a mirror cam system.

The trade off is a self dispatched, % pay program with a strong freight base.

As far as trucks go, used trucks are professionally cleaned and reconditioned. Any thing that's broke gets fixed. They are generally in good shape.
