As said before.. work where you'd hate to, that's where the money is.
The more it sucks, the more it pays

That also goes for the winter time when it starts to snow I usually go for it because the rates will be better cuz nobody wants to drive in the Mess as long as it's not overly bad that is

Hey for the newbies looking for good freight lanes....

West coast divas keep many secrets as they think they're secret. They're really not, just hidden from the inexperienced due to lack of experience.

If you'd like some insight, I'm not scared to reveal some good freight lanes to you guys.

I'm not worried about you taking my freight as there's plenty of it if you're a professional driver.

Chicago to Atlanta is pretty good for round trips.

Northeast pays well running there but getting out you're going to have to take a crappy load most times.

If you wanna run Charlotte to Memphis you need to go via Jackson, MS to offset the pay from just Charlotte to Memphis.

And lastly, the MIDWEST is relatively solid.

If you want to learn more there are all kinds of sites that offer "paid" services to get you into and running "highpaying" freight lanes.

It's your business, how much time and money are you willing to invest to make sure it's successful? That's the real question.

Yup. In the final stages of approval and truck selection. I may have hit a bump with Finance though as my take home money requirements are a little high...they're telling me. I do not live in a floating house in a Louisiana Bayou...so maybe my needs are a little high.n

...and kinda chickening out to be honest.

I will say I really like that there is this much scrutiny in this process. It gives plenty of time to replay look into stuff and consider everything. The last Least Purchase I did was a lot less scrutiny, and a lot less self control of the truck.

4000 a month for truck and maintenance payment...

I'm told they fall right between 965-1000 A WEEK - Before insurance and fuel are deducted even. Getting an older, cheaper truck is about the same because while they payment is lower, they want you to put more in maintenance.

It all makes very good sense but good lord...4000 a month...

That is pretty crazy if you ask me.

Yesterday I left a message for recruiting to call me back, so today she did and we went over some freight lanes and rates.

Short haul stuff is really good, but longer stuff is kinda dismal, IMO...the best load I heard of was about 1.50 a mile aside from the 120 miles one I mean...

The good thing is the tiny little deadhead between loads. She acted like 65 miles was huge.

I'm currently pulling tankers and jist came from 11 years of heavy haul...so I chuckled at a 65 mile deadhead...
