I did a lease purchase on a couple trucks. One used, then a new one that I bailed out on after a year.

Personally, I would not recommend it, unless credit prevents you from getting your own truck.

I hate their managed maintenance. Your money, but they want to control how you spend it.

I also learned the hard way that when you called PACCAR and put your truck in the shop, they can charge up to $900 to that reference number you are given WITHOUT your authorization.

Emissions equipped trucks - it's not a matter of if they are going to screw up, but when. Once they do, good luck actually getting it fixed.

I left a good deal of money in my maintenance account when I gave them their truck back, best decision I could have made.

Bought a new truck, no emissions, monthly payment, and got rid of a ton of stress. Truck costs less, yet it is a far better truck. Getting insurance outside of that "deal" Schneider offers is also much cheaper.

All that said, it is probably the best lease purchase option out there. No lease purchase is good though.

I just talked to my SFI guy its almost 3 grand to get into a Freightliner Cascadia Evolution brand new. I pay 868.00 per week. (Well I actually pay more so its paid off in 3 years) that amount includes my maintenance which I feel isnt enough. I still clear 1800 to 2400 a week and I dont work hard. Its a good program as I am not that guy that can fix stuff....

Im thinking of being a fleet owner with them.

Sorry, my comment didn't post. I wonder why the down payment went up? The KW and Petes went up to $7000 also.
