To the OP...here is the best repose so far...all were great but this one nails it. Listen to what experienced folks tell you...they have ben there and done that. Listen to folks that tell you what you want to hear and you're asking for lots of trouble and disappointment. I can't either condemn or praise either company that you're thinking about working for here..never worked for either....BUT "big Orange" has been around for alot longer than a contractor for FedEx....IMHO , you should go with an established company that will give you benefits/and experience along with stability...if that contractor decides to leave FedEx..there is no guarantee you'll have a job....with Schneider...you'll always have one at least as long as you can keep your nose clean. Learn your chosen career path...get some experience then more and better options will become available to you.

I gotta stop reading so much, now I have been hearing that a lot of Schneider regional accounts you may be out two-three weeks before getting any home time. I just spoke to my recruiter and they said living in the Dallas-Fort Worth area I should be able to get home about 90-95% weekly doing my 36 hour restart. They do have another opening for a dedicated Costco account but my recruiter said you may not make as much as regional. Now onto FedEx, when I went and did my application at there Dallas hub yesterday, I noticed I had an employee number, does this mean I am employed by them?
