Reason for edit: I shouldn't have put someone's name out there

Nope. I don’t want to post his name just in case. Never know who’s creeping on here and wants to throw policy at somebody. Don’t think we were “technically” supposed to be running like a team the entire time.

Does Freymiller do a lot of deliveries in the Chicago loop?

I know we share a drop yard outside of Chicago with a few other companies(picked up once during training), but tbh I haven’t been here long enough to really know. @Ssand Man would probably be more qualified than me to answer that question.

Yes only on 2nd week solo. Tested out after 5.5 weeks with trainer and took a week off to handle some family business. The first week solo was a bit slow for my taste at 2600, but I spent 2.5 days sitting waiting. I just put that up to dispatch not knowing how a newb is going to run. I was a bit irritated at first but realized it was still going to be a bigger paycheck than I’ve ever had(not counting bonuses) and that put things in perspective. This week I’m at 1400 in 3 days so far. I get the feeling they prefer us to run recaps over running hard and taking a 34, but time will tell.

All of the equipment is nice from what I’ve seen. I’m in a 2017 Pete 579 that had 349k miles when I got it. She has a few idiosyncrasies but is in great shape. Just wish I had a few more gears to pull those hills a bit easier. Mattress was still in plastic and shop replaced the carpet in the sleeper.

In addition to APU’s, they also have 1500 watt inverters installed, which is nice to avoid paying $400 to have a fridge installed by the shop($70 Walmart fridge, surge protector, ratchet strap and bungee cords). Also running a small microwave and rice cooker off it to save $ and my stomach from truck stop food. They have wall mounts where you could put a 19-24” flat screen up if wanted as well.

    pank83 and Metallica88 Thank this.
