Bad idea, I have been at May your going to hate life, they have more reasons to keep our money than you can count. Better buy blankets they love cold country and do not allow idling without docking your check. This was a very bad idea.

Dont listen to that guy. Orientation is first day pee test skills driving test then paperwork the next 3 days. Whats a matter with cold country isnt it the truck drivers job to deliver freight to customers throughout the country. Those people have needs and supplies that need to be delivered. How long ago have you worked here. You cant give any recent info. They ll give you all the info you need in orientation and so will your trainer. That idle bs is getting old. You have to be a du mass to get charged they tell you what to do and people still dont do it. Deliver on time safely and set a good pta and you ll be successful. A company cant make every employee happy

Well other drivers say that they don't get charged for idling cause they request it before hand. Have you ever requested it? How many miles you getting a week? And r you on west. 11 or 48 states. Being ur from Cali. I assume west. 11. Most comments about west. 11 aren't very good.

That's cool joker. I'm hoping to get into orientation asap. Not worried about skills or backing. I got backing down so good that's not a issue. Just need a company to give me a chance to prove myself that's all. Last time I drove was 14 yrs ago and first time I got back in it was like I never got out. I talked to Lyn at Gary yard today she said I should hear from Danny the recruiter this week yo schedule orientation and can come out n practice. I think may sounds good. I just can't wait to get out there and run. I know there will be bad days and weeks. Hell that's trucking. But as long as I'm comfortable out there and got good dispatch to deal with I can deal with it.

Oh and by the way...I. from Chicago. I live cold country. My first year driving back in 94 it got down to 50° below zero wind chill. They shut interstates down conditions were so bad. Lol. Say after orientation how many weeks I go out with trainer?

i lived in Aurora 20 years. Did you watch the bears game? It all depends on your trainer and how well you do. Id say between 2-4 weeks usually. You already know how to drive but the qualcomm can be tricky for new people
