@ Schneider the last day of pay period is Saturday at midnight. For example, if you started this week (as in ending tomorrow night) you'd be paid next Friday. I think it was 4 days the first week? First day not paid. 2nd week out with trainer. I got paid for each day that week and I was only out 4 days. Bonus for me lol.

What I mean is will I receive a check while IN orientation or will it be lump summed on my first solo driving check? -
You won't.
You'll need to have 2 or 3 weeks worth of money available to you before you go in case there's a snafu on payrolls part.SingingWolf Thanks this. -
Xs are the days you are paid for, totals are the gross earnings paid on that Friday.
So on the second Friday you get paid for the first 4 days; on the third Friday you get paid for the second week of training; on the 4th Friday after starting orientation you get your final training paycheck. After that it's all mileage, paid a week in arrears.SingingWolf Thanks this. -
Your first SNI check will be your 2nd friday after you receive a driver number.

alright. So enough to cover 2 months of bills, plus food and misc. for 7 weeks call it 8. Add a little on top for the "Oh Yit!" fund. With at least 4 months left to save up.....I think it will be do-able.
Originally, I was going to wait till march to do this but I saw someone mention that they preferred to get their CDL in winter just so they learn early how to deal with bad weather. What are the opinions of people out there? Should I sign up in January or wait till March? (This time difference won't make sense to a lot of people unless you're from the region
)

ASAP - January

January would be my vote.

It's better to have the experience going into the "busy" season as compared to getting the experience during.
